JONAH LOMU.
Compare with anyone in the Rugby sport world since then and now, no one would denay that New Zealand born Jonah Lomu is the best player in the world. He is the legand of Rugby sport in every aspect and the first superstar of the Rugby around the world. Actually he was born Auckland region in New Zealand but later he was taken to Tonga where his mother and father were born. until his early ages passed, he has lived there. According to Save Moa`le who had seen Jonah Lomu’s uncle playing in Tongan’s national team, Lomu’s father is from Tongatapu of Tongan island (there are about 130 small islands in tonga) and the mother of Jonah Lomu is from Lifuka island.
Actually The Tonga island is with three main islands which are called Tongatapu, Haa`pai and Vava`u. Savelio Moa`le is from the same island where Lomu’s mother came from. According to Save, Lomu’s uncle and Lomu’s father used to play Tongan national team.(Rugby is the national sport of Tonga). Save further explained that Lomu’s uncle was also like Jonah Lomu and having bigger body than Lomu. it is obvious that Lomu has had the Rugby skill from his gene. He seems to have inhereted the Rugby sport. onece he came back to New Zealand by the age of 5 or 6, he has facinated about Rugby and he carried on Rugby playing sicne then.( A lot of Pacific inlands kids living in New, start to play Rugby from there childhood like Sri Lankan kids start to play Cricket.
At the begining of his Rugby carrier, he was very good at Rugby seven. By the time of Lomu’s peek time of Rugby in mid 90s, his reputation was dominant through out the Europe, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Fiji, Samoa and all over the world.He was 1.93m (6 feet 4 inches) high and 119kg waight. By the age of 19, he played his first international game in 1994. In 1995 Rugby world cup in South Africa, he got 7 tries within 5 matches. In the Common wealth game in Malasia of 1998, he won the gold medal with New Zealand team. He got 8 tries at 1999 world cup pool matches. Lomu stablished a record of 15 tries in world cups and it was equalle to Sout African player Bryan. In 1998 Commonwealth game in Malasia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand game ending up being 0 to 80.
Jona Lomu was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome which is relevent to a serious genetic kidney disorder in 1995. Lomu was on dialysis since 2003 and had to go for a kidney transplant to save his life. Even after the kidney transplant, he played Rugby until 2007 and retired from his Rugby professional by the age of 32.
The Rugby superstar Jonah Lomu died unexpectedly on 18 of November 2015 at his residence in Auckland. The cause of his death was a heart attack but the heart attack associated with his kidney disorder. He was one of the best player in the world of all time and his name will be attatched with Rugby for a long long time.
